Temperature is the primary condition for normal growth and development of broilers.
The change in temperature cannot be changed from high to low. The starting temperature needs to be higher, otherwise the chicks will not adapt, and the bunches will not be active, and will not eat and grow normally. Generally, the brooding temperature for 1 to 2 days is 34 to 35 ° C, and the temperature inside the house is 27 to 29 ° C. After that, it will decrease by 3 °C every 7 days, and by the 28th day, the temperature will drop to about 21 °C, and this temperature will be maintained later. In the over-cooling, it is necessary to maintain a balanced cooling. In addition, the weather should be considered. The slowing down is not conducive to feather growth; the cooling rate is too fast, the chicks are not suitable, the growth rate is reduced, and the death is increased.
Whether the brooding temperature is suitable or not depends mainly on the behavior of the chicken in poultry farming equipment. It cannot be measured by temperature alone and is adjusted according to the behavior of the chick.
When the temperature is right, the chicks are lively and active, the spirit is strong, the sound is light, the feathers are smooth and smooth, the appetite is good, the drinking water is moderate, the feces are strip-like, and when resting after eating, the ground is evenly distributed, and the head and neck are straight and deep. No strange state or uneasy sound, the chicken coop is quiet.
When the temperature is low, the chicks move slowly, concentrate around the heat source or squeeze into the corner, and make a “squeaky” sound, which is slow in growth and uneven in size. In severe cases, a cold or squat will kill.
When the temperature is high, the chicks are far away from the heat source, lack of energy, squatting on the ground, spreading their wings and breathing. Drinking plenty of water, loss of appetite, high temperature will lead to a large number of deaths of chicks caused by heat radiation.
